To ensure your proxies function properly, your current IP address must be authorized in the dashboard. This quick guide will show you how to authorize your IP so you can start using your proxies immediately.
IP authorization is a method of access control that allows only specific IP addresses to use your proxy credentials. Instead of logging in with a username and password, ProxiesThatWork verifies your identity based on your device's IP address. This approach is fast, secure, and ideal for users who want to avoid embedding credentials into scripts or applications. Once your IP is added to the authorized list, you can start using your assigned proxies right away.
Start by logging in to your account at proxiesthatwork.com.
Once logged in, click on Proxy List from the side menu.
If your current IP is not yet authorized, you will see a banner at the top of the proxy list that says:
"Your current IP (XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX) is not authorized to use this plan's proxies."
Simply click the "Authorize this IP" button on the banner.
Your IP will be instantly added to your list of authorized IPs.
If you'd like to authorize multiple IPs, click the "Authorized IPs" button on the top right of your dashboard. You can add up to 10 IP addresses. Press Save, and the list will update.
After adding or updating authorized IPs, please wait 2–3 minutes for the settings to fully propagate across the system.
Once done, you're ready to connect!
